Irish actor Colm Meaney (Kings, Intermission, Star Trek) has joined the cast of UK feature ‘3 and OUT’. The feature directorial debut of Jonathan Gershfield, known for his TV work on ‘Big Train’ and ‘Dead Ringers’, the film also stars Mackenzie Crook (The Office, City of Ember) and Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake).
Written by Steve Lewis and Tony Owen, the film follows a fledgling underground train driver who has already had two suicide jumpers. On learning he needs only one more death and will be allowed to retire on full pay and pension, the man goes in search of someone with nothing to live for.
Shooting beings for six weeks on October 29 with Richard Greatrex (Shakespeare in Love, Run, Fat Boy, Run) handling cinematography duties while ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ editor Jon Gregory will post.
