Over twenty Irish companies are bound for France next week to attend the MIPCOM market, taking place in Cannes from the 8–12 October. The Ireland on Screen stand, organised by Enterprise Ireland in association with the IFB and the IDA, will be the hub of activity for Irish delegates.
MIPCOM is a global content event for co-producing, buying, selling, financing and distributing entertainment content across all platforms.
Companies taking part in the 2007 MIPCOM include animation studios; Boulder Media, who announce their latest project ‘Carter and Son’; Brown Bag Films; Jam Media; Monster Animation; Zink Films and Kavaleer, who plan to launch a number of new shows at this years event.
Representatives from leading Irish production companies such as; Magma Films; Screentime Shinawil, Great Western Films; Sideline Productions; Like It Love It; Tyrone Productions; Vision Independent Productions; Studio Solas and the Award winning Telegael Media group will be attending, in addition to distribution outfits Element Pictures, Dublin Film Distributors; Monster Distributes and Network Television Ireland.
Wildwave, a company that specializes in development, co-production, distribution and delivery of
content for Digital Platforms; and IML Irish Music Licensing Ltd, who bring their 2 hour documentary on the Dubliners, will also be at MIPCOM.
