Post production facility, BobbyCTV, are expanding with new staff and a new Lad Lane location. Headed by editor and company director Bob Caldwell, the new boutique facility will incorporate both offline & online editing suites.
Caldwell and his co-editor Michael Harte are joined by newest member Clare Killane this month. Claire’s list of entertainment and documentary credits includes ‘No Experience Required’ - Liberty Films, ‘Eco Eye’ - Earth Horizon Productions, ‘Jam Series 2’ - Big Mountain Productions, ‘Community Challenge Series 1’ - Sideline Productions, ‘Apre Match - World Cup 2006’ – RTE.
Speaking about BobbyCTV’s new location and editing technology, Caldwell said, “We are basing the installation on Final Cut Pro Studio 2 HD, and will be switchable to Avid Media Composer. The new building will comprise of 5 edit suites, a Graphics studio, DVD duplication and authoring station as well as facilities for media file transfers for web use, all linked using Apples X-Serve Media Storage. These services are key in enabling us to provide a fuller and more flexible in-house service.”
Since its formation in 2006, the company has worked on high profile projects with top production companies including the IFTA winning series 'In Search of the Popes Children' – Tyrone Productions; the IFTA Nominated series’ 'Made in America' - Coco Television and 'No Experience Required' - Liberty Films; BAFTA nominated ’The Fu**er Fulfords’ - Optomen for Channel 4 and recently ‘Saviours’ - Street Films, runner up feature documentary category at the Galway film festival.
BobbyCTV are currently completing work on David McWilliams' new series ’Ireland’s Generation Game’, which airs on RTE this week.
