Budding Presenters Go Head to Head on RTE’s ‘It’s My Show’
2007/08/27 :
RTÉ Young People’s Programmes is offering viewers aged 10-14 years old the chance to be a presenter for the day with its new game show 'It's My Show'.
'It's My Show' will pit contestants against each other for the chance to present for a day on RTÉ Two's new daily entertainment show 'ICE', which kicks off this September, presented by Brian Ormonde and Sinead Kennedy.

On the high-energy programme, ‘the show must go on’ is the motto of the day as contestants battle on-air calamities including falling sets, stray animals, unpredictable weather conditions and an angry countdown clock. The wannabe presenters must be able to keep their cool under pressure as they showcase their presenting skills in front of a live studio audience.

Interested young people should send a one-minute video clip that shows off your presenting skills, filmed on webcam or video recorder. Presenters can talk about any topic, tell a joke or interview a friend. Sound must be clear, with presenters looking straight to camera. Head and shoulder shots are preferable.

This is presenting show, drama monologues or acting showreels are not acceptable. Clips must not exceed one minute in length.

To enter, email your one-minute clip along with parent consent form to itsmyshow@mindthegapfilms.com or post your DVD or tape and parent consent form to: It’s My Show, 6 Wilton Place, Dublin 2.

Entrants must include their name, address, phone number and date of birth. Entrants must also ask a parent or guardian for permission to enter and provide their contact name and phone number.

Closing date for entries is Monday 17th September 2007.

Recordings will take place on the 7th, 8th and 9th October and the 4th and 5th November in RTE studios Dublin and broadcast over Christmas 2007. The winner will get the chance to present for a day on ‘ICE’ in early 2008.
