Michael J.Bassett’s horror feature film ‘Wilderness’, shot on location in Northern Ireland in 2005, is scheduled for a limited theatrical run exclusively at Cineworld from the 11th of August.

Pertwee (Dog Soldiers, Goal, Event Horizon), Sean Wright (Hex) and Lenora Crichlow (Sugar Rush) in the ensemble cast, the film is described as a “violent and bloody survival movie with a difference”. The chilling story follows six inmates of a youth detention centre who get sent to a boot camp island to be "taught a tough lesson". There they encounter a mysterious hunter who begins to pick them off with ruthless efficiency.
£2million feature is an Ecosse Film production with funding from the NIFTC. Producers are John McDonnell (Song For A Raggy Boy, Six Shooter) and Ecosse’s Robert Bernstein and Douglas Ray. The film is distributed through Momentum Pictures, cert 18.
