Loopline’s ‘Muintir na Mara’ Debuts On TG4
31 Jan 2007 :
‘Muintir na Mara’, a new six-part series from Loopline Film begins on TG4 Sunday February 4th. The travel-adventure series follows presenter Pádraig Ó Duinnín, who embarks on a voyage across the 450 mile coastline of Cork, over land and sea, in a currach, on a bicycle and in a van.

Throughout the series Pádraig, a natural adventurer and boat-builder in his own right, explores his native coastline stretching from Youghal in the east to Ardgroom in the west. Along the way he stops off at various harbours, quays, ports, towns and meets with the local people of the sea, Muintir na Mara. He has a natural flair for putting people at their ease and a mischievous sense of humour that carries the series along.

‘Muintir na Mara’ is produced by Martina Durac, directed by Rosie Nic Cionnaith with Ciara Nic Chormaic as assistant producer and researcher. Series editor is Ronan O Muirghease.
