Irish cinematographer Seamus McGarvey (Charlotte’s Web, The Hours) is attached to work as DOP on the forthcoming debut feature form ‘Trainspotting’ writer Irvine Welsh, entitled ‘The Man Who Walks’.

through Welsh’s production company 4way Pictures and is an adaptation of Scottish autor Alan Warner’s novel of the same name. The film is being produced by Catherine Aitken and is scheduled to begin production in early 2007.
The black comedy/road-movie/thriller will star Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting) and tells the story of a young man on a revenge mission in search of his eccentric uncle who murdered his pet birds and stole his World Cup money pool.
Armagh native McGarvey picked up the Best Cinematography Award at the 2005 IFTA’s for his work on the Matthew McConaughey feature film ‘Sahara’. In 2007 he is also lined up to work with ‘Pride and Prejudice’ director Joe Wright in ‘Atonement’ and has just completed shooting ‘World Trade Centre’ in New York with Oliver Stone.
