The Toronto International Film Festival has named 25 North American premieres for the 31st edition of the festival in September. Ken Loach’s ‘The Wind That Shakes the Barley’ will screen as part of the festival’s Masters Series programme.
The Toronto International Film Festival has named 25 North American premieres for the 31st edition of the festival in September. Ken Loach’s ‘The Wind That Shakes the Barley’ will screen as part of the festival’s Masters Series programme.
Running from the 7 - 16 of September the Toronto Film Festival is one of the most prestigious festivals in the world. Having scooped the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in May, ‘The Wind That Shakes the Barley’ is sure to be a festival highlight.
The Masters Series is designed to show new works by some of cinema's most accomplished filmmakers, also selected in this category is Nanni Moretti’s ‘The Caiman’ (Italy) and Aki Kaurismäki’ s ‘Lights In The Dusk’.
Other Cannes favourites named among the 25 early highlights include Andrea Arnold’s ‘Red Road’, Bruno Dumont’s ‘Flandres’ and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s ‘Babel’.
