The NIFTC funded short film ‘Charlotte’s Red’ from writer/director Colin McIvor has won a number of festival screenings and awards since it’s debut at the Galway Film Fleadh last year. The latest scoop is the Award for Best Short at the Hamburg Kids Short Film Festival earlier this month.

Starring Kate Dempsey and Patrick O’Kane, the 15 minute film is produced by Katy Jackson. Other crew includes DOP Damien Elliott, Production Designer Shane Bunting, Editor David Gray and Composer Barry Woods.

In all the film has picked up Awards at Cinemagic, East Lansing, Trenton (USA) and Hamburg with previous screenings in Belfast, Chicago, Brooklyn and Indianapolis. Forthcoming screenings include stints at the Festival Internacional de Cine Para Ninos in Mexico City and the National Gallery of Art in Washington – Children’s Film Program.
