14 Nov 2003 :
'Spin the Bottle' is written by Ian Fitzgibbon and Michael McElhatton and based on the characters first seen in their highly successful TV series 'Paths to Freedom'. It is also the feature film directorial debut of Ian Fitzgibbon, who began his career as an actor at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and has since directed three successful short movies as well as the two acclaimed television series 'Paths to Freedom' and 'Fergus's Wedding'. The film is produced by Grand Pictures.

Michael McElhatton also a RADA graduate, is well known to Irish cinema audiences for his work in such movies as 'I Went Down', 'Saltwater', and most recently 'The Actors'. He was also seen in the highly acclaimed recent release 'Intermission'.

Peter McDonald who plays Rats’ sidekick Tommo also starred in both 'Paths to Freedom' and 'Fergus's Wedding'. He is familiar to cinema audiences as he starred in 'I Went Down', 'Felicia's Journey' 'Nora', and 'When Brendan Met Trudy'.

Other key roles are played by Simon Delaney of 'Bachelors Walk' fame; Bronagh Gallagher ('The Commitments' and 'Pulp Fiction' among many others); and of course the highly accomplished stage & screen actor, Donal O’Kelly who completes the line-up of Spermdotcom in the guise of Brainer.
