Neilson EDI and Carlton Screen Advertising have released admission figures in Ireland for 2004. The total Irish box office figures for the year show an increase of 4% to 97.4m, with in excess of 8.4m admission in Dublin alone. Other countries in Europe have a decrease in their box office receipts.
Irish films performed very strongly, particularly Veronica Guerin, which came top of the box office, Intermission, Song for a Raggy Boy and In America. The top ten films at the Box Office in Ireland last year were:

9. Love Actually (2.6m)
10. The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2.5m)
