Irish Pavilion At Cannes Film Festival

The Irish Pavilion is the focus point for over 100 Irish delegates attending the Cannes Film Festival and Market this month (15-26 May 2002). Situated between the British and American Pavilions, the Irish centre is in:

Focus on Denmark in Cannes:
At this years 55th Festival de Cannes, MEDIA Desk Ireland in association with the Danish Film Institute will host an Irish/Danish Co-Producing/Co-Financing Breakfast on the Irish Pavilion on 18th May. This meeting of producers, financiers, distributors and sales agents will explore the possibility for co-producing and co-financing between these 2 countries.More information form MEDIA Desk Ireland: 01 6791856.

European Film Promotion (EFP) in Cannes
With the support of the MEDIA Programme European Film Promotion will co-ordinate its annual Producers on the Move event at the Cannes Film Festival. Congratulations to Paul Donovan from Grand Pictures who has been selected as the Irish Producer on the Move 2002.

Galway Film Fair in Cannes
The Galway Film Fair, the market which takes place every year during the Galway Film Fleadh with the support of the MEDIA Programme, will host a reception with the Film Fleadh in the Irish Pavilion in Cannes on Friday May 17 from 5-7 pm. MEDIA Antenna Galway will also announce details of the annual European co-production event at this reception. The deadline to register for the Film Fair is May 24th.
