MIPCOM as a whole continues to go from strength to strength. This week’s report from the organisers outlines that there are 2131 participating companies this year, compared with 1862 last year, 1074 exhibiting companies compared with 971 last year, and 488 stands, compared with 449 last year.
Participants at the Irish stand at this year’s MIPCOM include Network Ireland Television (Derry O’Brien and Nicola Costello), Like It Love It (Andy Ruane), Ardmore Studios (Kevin Moriarty), Screen Commission of Ireland (Roger Greene), TG4 (Siun Ni Raghallaigh) and ‘Simply Painting’ (Jimmy Hayden).

Derry O’Brien of Network says, “We are continuing the 10 year tradition of the Ireland on Screen stand at MIPCOM and we are optimistic that we will receive a favourable response at this very important market. We have a larger group on our stand this MIPCOM than last year and we have some interesting new Irish programmes to introduce to our broadcasting clients.”
