Seminar

Stefan Avalos and Lance Weiler, the makers of The Last Broadcast will be giving a workshop on the making of the last Broadcast from inception to distribution. Friday 28th of May in Arthouse.

The Last Broadcast breaks new ground on a technical level, this shrewd and startlingly good feature was recorded on digital video and produced on a desktop computer. The Last Broadcast was produced for a head-turning $900.00 and the creators believe their discount drama owes its existence to the emergence to new technologies that are revolutionising film.

More details and booking information will be circulated soon.

The Last Broadcast will be showing at The Darklight Digital Film Festival. The Directors of The Last Broadcast, Stefan Avalos and Lance Weiler last October in conjunction with Wavelength Releasing made cinematic history with the first feature film to be released to theatres, via satellite. The event was covered in The Wall Street Journal, Variety, Forbes and on TV shows like CNN Financial. Crowds gathered in Portland, Minneapolis, Providence, Philadelphia and Orlando to experience the movie and witness history in the making. Local coverage was fantastic, news crews and major papers covered the event in each city.

This coming May, Wavelength Releasing will again make cinema history, with the first international release of a digital feature film -- The Last Broadcast-- to New York City and London. In what is being hailed as an "Urban Deployment" of electronic cinema technology, multiple theaters in NYC and London will receive the digital feature, The Last Broadcast, via wireless and terrestrial lines. With this glimpse of the not-so-distant future, Wavelength Releasing is demonstrating a further advance in the electronic cinema delivery mechanism it pioneered with its ground breaking October national theatrical satellite release.

Wavelength Releasing and The Last Broadcast have helped to spark a new digital movement in cinema. The film is hailed as "the first desktop feature". Both Wavelength Releasing and The Last Broadcast entered the history books this past October with their national theatrical release via satellite.

The Last Broadcast will be showing on Friday the 28th May at Darklight.
