Filmbase's New 'Writing for TV' Course

The course is aimed at those trying to break into the TV industry and is covering all aspects from early development stages to being commissioned and up into production stages.

Topics will include the business of Tv, the commissioning process, working with script editors, directors and producers, writing for: sitcom, tv drama and soap operas. Participants will also have a chance to develop their own ideas for programme. Tutors for this course will include Billy Mc Grath, Claire Mitchell, Eilis Kent (from the IPU in RTE) Noel O'Briain (Glenroe, Ros na Run, Fair City) Colette Cullen (Fair City) and Andrew Meehan (Accomplice TV).
