The Yard and Pluto, two leading facilities and post production companies based in Dublin have added to their complement of 66 people.
Áinne Burke - The Yard
Áinne Burke has been appointed as Creative & Business Development Manager of The Interactive Studio at The Yard. Áinne has worked in the audio-visual industry for over 15 years in traditional media and interactive storytelling on Cdi (Compact Disc interactive), CD Rom, DVD and the web. Áinne has extensive experience in all aspects of production from creative concept development to production, marketing, distribution and business development. She has also worked with Canadian, Norwegian, French, Spanish, American and Irish partners and
clients on various interactive projects.
Jenni O'Reilly - Pluto
Jenni O'Reilly has recently been recruited by Pluto in the Bookings Department. A graduate of the College of Marketing and Design, she previously worked in DDFH&B for a total of 6 years - 3 years in production and 3 years as an agency producer. Following that Jenni worked in Des O'Meara & Partners.
The Yard Group employs 52 people and provides a range of facilities for both the broadcast and corporate industries - consultancy, production, camera crews, editing, graphics, studio and satellite uplink services. Clients availing of the company's services include Bank of Ireland, eircom, Intel, Trintech, Fás, Enterprise Ireland, Revenue Commissioners, European Commission, Reuters and British Aerospace. The Yard is also the Official Broadcast supplier for the 2003 Special Olympics World Games.
Pluto, established in 2000 and employing 14 people, is a sister company to The Yard which offers animation and commercial post production. The company also provides work for the animation and SFX market and whilst this broad banner can include commercials, other customers to avail of the company's services include television stations and the film market.
Inferno and Flame provide the compositing and effects capabilities and all Pluto's 3D stations can work at 2K film resolution. Input and output is commonly done via DTF, DLT or Exabyte.
