Cine Electric is currently very busy working on location and at the five sound stages at Ardmore Studios, on 'Ella Enchanted', the World 2000/Disney production, starring Anna Hathaway.
Cine has been awarded the contract to supply all lighting equipment, generators, control and dimming systems on the film. The company is also supplying all lighting, generators and specialist equipment to Brown Sauce Productions' 'Intermission', starring Colin Farrell, Colm Meaney and Cillian Murphy. The film has been on location around Dublin for the last six weeks, and is due to finish on Friday 11th October before starting post in UK.
It has been a very busy two years for Cine Electric - the Irish lighting company was the sole lighting contractor on 'Reign of Fire' - two major exterior location sets plus four stages at Ardmore Studios were rigged, including a set for Day and Night shooting. All additional plant generators, extra fuel storage and Musco Lites were installed, serviced and controlled by Cine. The film was the biggest film lighting job ever done in Ireland, and at one stage employed a total of 68 electricians.
Other recent credits for the group include: Films - Ella Enchanted, Reign of Fire, Mrs Stone (Showtime), The Actors (Company of Wolves), and Chasing the Dragon (Bruckheimer).
