Irish Actors’ Equity are holding a conference in Dublin at SIPTU’s new venue in the Liberty Hall. The conference, to be held over the weekend of 5-6 October, will have seminars, workshops, screenings and discussions.
Irish writer/director Cathal Black will be giving a director’s workshop in the IFC on Sunday 6th at 11am; Peter Sheridan writer/director will be the focus for a theatre direction masterclass earlier in the week (due to his availability) on Wednesday; John Lynch will hold a ‘Working for the Screen’ workshop at the Dublin Writers’ Museum on Saturday 5 October at 2pm.
Other events include a film screening and discussion with Catherine Breillat at IFC on Sunday October 6 at 11am, and a music masterclass, ‘Composing Music for Film and Television’ with Fiachra Trench at Trinity also on Sunday October 6th at 11am.
