VFG Ireland has this year supplied Camera and Grip equipment to such productions as ‘Goldfish Memories’, ‘Anytime Now’,‘Father & Sons’ and recently wrapped the Digibeta and Grip package from ‘On Home Ground II’ after a 16 week shoot.
VFG Ireland is currently supplying ‘Hi-Def’ Equipment to the feature film ‘Dead Bodies’. This is the first feature to be made in Ireland using this format. It is being produced by David Mc Loughlin and Claire Scully of Distinguished Features, directed by Robert Quinn and sees Donal Gilligan (D.O.P) using VFG‘s first two Sony F900 Cinealta Cameras, that the group have purchased recently, along with Canon Hi-Def Primes, Zoom Lenses and accessories. This equipment is complimented by Sony 9” and 14” ‘Hi-Def’ Monitors.
VFG Ireland is also supplying all Camera equipment to ‘Bachelors Walk II’ which is shooting for 8 weeks all around Dublin. VFG having supplied Camera Equipment on the first series is supplying cameraman, Mark Waldron, with DVCAM equipment this time around. He is utilising two SONY DSR 500 Camera packages along with a DVCAM playback Location system.
VFG Ireland is supplying both ‘Dead Bodies’ and ‘Bachelors Walk II’ with their full Lighting and Generation requirements from the newly opened VFG Lighting Depot in their Bray branch. This Lighting service is also complimented with a Lighting Stores/Consumables section. The vast amount of lighting in the Dublin Depot is complimented by the Lighting and Generation held in VFG Belfast for extra equipment during busy periods. We recently added 40k silent Generator mounted on a Landrover 110 to our Dublin fleet.
On the shorter term Production side, VFG are supplying Double Z with a Digibeta and Grip package for ‘Dustin’s new Video, along with gearing up for a 5 Digibeta Camera shoot for the new Apres Match Video next week.
The VFG Hire Ltd. Group supply equipment on Holby City, Hornblower, Judge John Deed, Merseybeat, The Insiders, In Deep along with Equipment for Commercial companies such as Rose Hackney Barber, Gerard De Thames, Godman, Parisian, Academy, Stark, Joy Films and Hungry Man.
