Two of the highlights of this year's International Advertising Awards
Festival in Kinsale are workshops on the future of High Definition as a production/post production tool for television/cinema commercials, and on creative radio writing for commercials.
The High Definition Television/Cinema showcase will bring participants up
to date with this advanced form of digital tape format. In conjunction with
Windmill Lane who currently operate the only High Definition post production suite in Ireland, Sony CineAlta and Panavision will provide an insight into
where this format sits alongside the other traditional formats. A lively
question and answer session is envisaged at the end of the presentation.
Particularly relevant to the Irish market the radio workshop addresses the
poor standards of radio commercials in Ireland. With speakers from the UK
and Ireland this workshop will provide an environment for practical
solutions to this perennial problem.
These events are being held as part of the Kinsale 'Sharks awards' inform
programme on Thur 5 September - Radio workshop. Fri 6 September - High
