'Hill 16', The debut feature film from Dublin writer/director Dermot Doyle has picked up the Best Feature Film Award at the Flint International Film Festival in Michigan USA.
26year old Doyle wrote, directed, shot, scored and edited the entire film on a budget of just |
€20,000. The black comedy is a coming of age story about a Dublin teenager's obsession with a local teacher and her affair with his older cousin, starring Conor Ryan (Boy Eats Girl) with Damien Hannaway and Barbara Dempsey.
'Hill 16' will receive its Irish premiere at the 2005 Galway Film Fleadh in July and has recently been selected for the prestigious Taormina Bnl Film Festival in Italy where it will compete for the Cinema Around the World Gold Awards. The film is currently screening at the Forest Grove International Festival, Oregan, USA and will feature in the Baybridge Brooklyn Film Festival.
