The multi-award winning Irish short film ‘The Ten Steps’, directed by Brendan Muldowney will be released by Abbey Films with their forthcoming horror feature film ‘Wolf Creek’.

“bogeyman” screamer pic that has been critically acclaimed at both the Cannes and Sundance Film Festivals earlier this year. ‘The Ten Steps’ stars Jill Harding as Katie, a teenage girl home alone with her younger brother who is forced to face her fears when the lights go out.
‘The Ten Steps’ was shot over three days in April of 2004. Crew working on the film included; editor Mairead McIvor; cinematographers Michael O’ Donovan and Tom Comerford; production designer Elizabeth Brennan with the original score composed by Stephen Mc Keon (Cowboys & Angels, Blind Flight).
The short has been a hit on the festival circuit screening at over forty film festivals worldwide and picking up awards a the Sitges Film Festival 2004 (Best Short), New York International Children’s Film Festival 2005 (Grand Prize), New York Film Fleadh 2005 (Best Short), Neuchatel Fantastic Film Festival 2005 (Best European Short) and Puchon Fantastic Film Festival (PIFAN) 2005 (Jury Prize – Best Short).
‘The Ten Steps’ is produced by Conor Barry and is an SP Films/Galway Film Centre/RTE/Irish Film Board production.
