Cartoon Forum Selects 6 New Irish Animations
15 Aug 2005 :

The 16th edition of the Cartoon Forum, scheduled to take place in the Danish city of Kolding from the 21st to 24th of September, has selected 6 new Irish animated film projects for inclusion in the forum’s negotiations lineup.

The following six Irish projects have been selected amongst 69 other European Animated projects:

Dad the Impaler - 26 x 26' Kavaleer Productions Ltd Ireland
Wobbly Land - 26 x 5'Brown Bag Films Ireland
Twisted Tales - 13 x 11' Jam Media Ltd Ireland
Grabby-Bag - 52 x 5' Mc Camley Entertainment Ireland
Footballer’s Husband - 52 x 2' 30'' Magma Films Ltd Ireland
Fluffy Gardens - 39 x 7' Monster Animation and Design Ltd Ireland

Every year over 260 potential investors - all interested in animation - attend the Cartoon Forum. This includes over 100 broadcasters and 160 investors/video editors who have the advantage of getting a sneak preview of the latest animation projects for the television from 29 different European countries. Neither a fair nor a festival, but rather a co-production forum, it provides European producers, broadcasters, distributors and investors the opportunity to negotiate and conclude business combining trailer presentations, working sessions and business meetings with opportunities for socialising and sightseeing.

In the past, over 301 projects (total budget of more than 980 million EUR) presented at the Cartoon Forum have secured their financing and are now in production or being broadcasted worldwide.
