The training for the course will be studio based, with an emphasis on practical studio experience throughout. During the training students will get an opportunity to learn about presenting, benefit from training in front of camera and presenting their own programmes in a multi-camera studio during the practical training sessions.
Students will also be briefed on the other personnel involved in a typical production and how their job relates to the presenters.
The studio provides a back up service following training, supporting and advising its students on the next steps to take to pursue their interest.
Subjects covered during the workshop include script preparation, audition techniques and how to prepare a presenter’s showreel.
This course takes place over five days (10am-4.30pm) in July and August. The full list of dates are July 28, 29 and August 11, 12 and 18. The cost of the workshop is €495.
