TV3 has announced that journalist and presenter, Sarah Carey, will fill Colette Fitzpatrick’s seat on MidWeek whilst the latter is away on maternity leave. Sarah will start her new position in late November and will continue throughout the New Year.
‘MidWeek’ broadcasts on Wednesday evenings at 10pm on TV3. The series looks to uncovers the human stories behind weekly headlines. Producer of TV3’s MidWeek, Patrick Kinsella, is looking forward to welcoming Sarah to the show, commenting that: “I am delighted Sarah is going to host the show, and whilst they are big shoes to fill, I think her experience and warm personality will prove very popular with the audience!”
Sarah has a degree in History from Trinity College Dublin and a post-graduate Diploma in Business Studies from the Michael Smurfit Business School in UCD. Between 1995 and 1998 she worked for Esat Telecom and Esat Digifone. This involved working on the bid for Ireland’s second ever mobile phone licence. Sarah is currently working as a journalist for the Irish Times and has guest presented on TV3’s ‘Tonight with Vincent Browne’.
