New Series ‘The Republic of Telly’ Begins
21 Oct 2009 :
RTÉ’s new entertainment series ‘The Republic of Telly’ starts on Monday, October 26th and features Irish comedian Neil Delamere (The Panel) as presenter.

Directed by Bob Corkey (The Podge & Rodge Show) and produced by James Cotter (Tubridy Tonight), ‘The Republic of Telly’ is described by RTÉ as a “topical show about TV, celebrities, movies, ads and anything else worth having a laugh about.”

“On ‘The Republic of Telly’ we do more than just look back at what's happened in TV, pop culture and current events, we change it. Presenter and comedian Neil Delamere will be making unusual guest appearances in our favourite shows, whether that's getting diagnosed on ‘The Clinic’, or auditioning to become a pop star,” says a statement.

The show will also feature reporters on the streets asking the public strange questions and a remake of a recent Hollywood blockbuster with an Irish twist.

The series of ‘The Republic of Telly’ starts on Monday, October 26th at 10.00pm on RTÉ2.
