Kinsale Sharks Launch September 11 |

The Kinsale Sharks 2009 starts 11 September, in the town of Kinsale, Co. Cork. This prestigious international advertising festival, now in it's 47th year, invites entries from around the world to be judged by a jury panel that rewards creative ideas. Categories include Worldwinners, Print, Digital, Broadcasts, Promo, New Directors and the Baby Shark award presented to new creative talent.
The jury panel of six this year Simon Collins, Roger Kennedy, Alan Kelly, Marco Mehrwald, John Peacock and Jeff Kling.
Held annually in the small spectacular coastal town of Kinsale in Cork, the festival limits the number of delegates attending to create a relaxed environment where everyone has a chance to meet and mingle with their peers. The festival this year is a two day event (11-12 September) - Tanya Cawley, the festival’s manager - confirms that all the regular festival events will feature.
This is Tanya’s first year in the role as Kinsale Shark Awards festival manager and she tells us that she was happy to continue and build on the festival’s reputation for providing a sense of comradeship by maintaining it as a intimate, welcoming festival as opposed to a daunting experience for participants. Her main goal in managing the festival is to encourage professional relationships in the advertising world in a very relaxed atmosphere surrounded by the beauty of Kinsale, Co. Cork.
In a major recession busting move, delegate fees for this year’s festival have been lowered from the normal price of €595 to €220. For more information visit www.sharkawards.com
