Director Declan Cassidy (Whatever Turns You On) has wrapped his latest short film 'Animus' after a two day shoot in Hollywood, California.
The filmmaker, who was in Los Angeles attending LA Shorts and Feel Good Film Festival with his IFB funded short 'Whatever Turns You On', commented "I was staying in Hollywood and really wanted to make something while I was there, actors Rachel Rath and Kevin Marron are based in LA and they agreed to come onboard."
Cassidy was also fortunate enough to get production assistance from Irish producer Simon Conneally and legendary director Lewis Teague (Jewel of the Nile, Cujo, Navy Seals) who he had met at Aspen.
Describing working with the American helmer Cassidy said: "He's a mixture of old school Hollywood gentleman and modern savvy. This is a guy who has directed with crews of 400 and he's shooting a series called Charlotta on digital, editing in his Beverly Hills home on his Apple Mac. He gave me all the additional equipment I needed for the Animus shoot."
Cassidy’s ‘Whatever Turns You On’ has been sold to Canal Plus in Poland and has also been selected for Chicago International Short Festival which runs from September 10th to 13th.
