Aidan Gillen in London ‘Blitz’ | The Irish Film & Television Network

Starring alongside Gillen are; Jason Statham (The Bank Job, Snatch), Paddy Considine (The Bourne Ultimatum) and David Morrissey (Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, State of Play).

Directed by Elliott Lester, whose debut feature ‘Love Is The Drug’ was selected for Slamdance 2006, ‘Blitz’ has been adapted for screen by Nathan Parker (Moon) and focuses on a cop-hating serial killer who targets the officers of a South East London police station

Scheduled for release next year the film is being produced by Zygi Kamasa, Steve Chasman, Brad Wyman and Donald Kushner. Lionsgate UK are fully financing the film, marking their first British production following their commitment last year to expand into the UK production arena
