RTÉ Young People’s is seeking aspiring filmmakers between 16-20 years of age to take part in a film making workshop from 14th-18th July 2008, which will see participants produce a one minute film to air on RTÉ TTV or TTV online.
The five-day workshop will explore all elements of filmmaking with participants completing their own one-minute film by the end of the week in the student’s chosen genre - music videos, documentary, drama or animation.
Twelve to fifteen young people will be chosen to take part in the workshop and RTÉ plans to show the films in autumn 2008 or early 2009. The films will also be entered into the One Minutes Jr. Films International Competition, and compete with young filmmakers from around the world.
Interested applications should send an application form along with the following:
- 200-word description of their film idea – story / point of view / key content
- 200 word outline of location, props, number of actors required for the film, etc.
- 200 word outline on why their film should be made and why they should be selected for the workshop
- CV and passport photograph
