Applications Open for IFB Reality Bites

The Irish Film Board is seeking producer / director teams with ideas for innovative shorts for Reality Bites, a funding scheme which aims to encourage a fresh approach to non-fiction filmmaking.

Reality Bites aims to encourage experimentation in film and is looking for shorts that offer something new in the documentary form, whether the projects are journalistic or creative, observational or aesthetic, objective or personal. Short sketches of subjects being considered for longer-form treatment may also be appropriate to this scheme.

Documentaries can be maximum of 12 minutes duration, with a maximum budget of €20,000 and be produced in either the English or Irish language.

The successful short films will premiere at the Corona Cork Film Festival next year.

All applications should be sent with the reference REF: REALITY BITES on the envelope to:
