Filming Wraps on 'Apollo Music Club'

Rita-Marie Lawlor’s debut feature ‘Apollo Music Club’ has wrapped a 12 week shoot in Dublin.

Shot on Sony PD 170 DV Cam, the micro-budget feature shot for 12 weeks in various locations including Coolock, Ballymun with interiors shot in Eamonn Doran’s and Doyle’s pub.

Written and produced by Lawlor, the film focuses on a group of individuals who meet up on a part-time music course and end up living together.

Rita-Marie Lawlor graduated from Colaiste Dhulaigh in 2004 with a B. TEC HND in film production, and co-directed and produced the film ‘Innocence’ with Andrea Caslin.

Post-production on ‘Apollo Music Club’ will be done by Lawlor’s former tutor, Wil McDermott from Colaiste Dhulaigh, using Final Cut Pro Studio 2.

’Apollo Music Club’ is an RML Films production , written, produced and directed by Rita-Marie Lawlor. A theatrical release is currently mooted for May 2008.
