
The MEDIA Programme is committed to developing the skills of professionals in the audiovisual sector by supporting training initiatives. The maximum budget for this call for proposals amounts to 4,340,000 Euro depending upon the budget provisions available for the fiscal year 2007. MEDIA-Supported training is beneficial to both individuals and organisations:
As an INDIVIDUAL you can benefit by attending the excellent courses we support. We do not offer support for individuals in the form of travel bursaries, grants or awards.
*Scriptwriting, including scriptwriting workshops for film and television; interactive screenwriting; story editor workshops.
*Management, including financial, legal and management aspects of film and television production; film marketing; multimedia management.
*New Technologies, including training in animation and interactive multimedia; interactive writing.

MEDIA Supported Courses 2009

As an ORGANISATION which offers training, you can benefit from financial support to offset the costs you incur by running courses. Two support schemes are available to training providers depending on the nature of the training they support.
Continuous Training – Training for professionals in the audiovisual industry.
Initial Training – Training for recent graduates at entry level.
Continuous Training
European training organizations or trans-national groupings of training providers can apply for support from the MEDIA programme to provide professional training in the key areas identified:
* sriptwriting and project development;
* economic and financial management;
* the use of new technologies
The training programmes offered must be pan-European. Up to 50% of the training costs can be supported by MEDIA - 60% for training activities in countries or regions with a low audio-visual production capacity and/or a restricted linguistic geographical area.

Initial Training
Applicants must take the form of pan-European consortia composed of Higher Education Institutions and / or other Organisations linked to the audiovisual industry.
The partners taking part in the consortium must come from at least 3 countries participating in the MEDIA Programme.
At least 3 partners involved in the consortium must be Higher education institutions.
Under the call 13-2008 “Support for Initial Training”, eligible costs include:
1. Personnel Costs
2. Operating Costs
3. Sub-contracting costs
