Following the successful transition online to host its debut digital edition in 2020, the Kerry International Film Festival (KIFF) has opened submission for its 2021 festival.
The 2020 festival is the 22nd edition of the Kerry International Film Festival and will run from the 14th to 17th October 2021. The format (online, physical, or a blended festival) of the event is still to be confirmed.
Over the past 22 years, KIFF has become a vital element of Kerry’s cultural landscape offering a unique film experience to the local community as well as creating a cultural tourism event for visitors to the county.
KIFF is renowned for celebrating and supporting the work of emerging filmmaking talent through a well-established short film competition that has been supported and endorsed by luminaries from the world of film such as Cillian Murphy, director Paul Greengrass, actors Jeremy Irons, Liam Neeson, and Gabriel Byrne.
The festival is supported by Screen Ireland, IFTA, Film Network Ireland, and KETB Film Office help KIFF provide an exciting industry line-up of talks, panels, and networking events; all in aid of supporting the medium of film and filmmakers.
KIFF 2020 saw the festival present its 21st edition online; establishing a secure, geo-locked, pay-walled site.
