Oscar-winning Irish Filmmaker Ben Cleary leads Irish titles at Tribeca Short Film Slate with ‘Wave’

'Stutterer', Ben Cleary
The ‘Stutterer’ writer/director’s latest project, which he co-directs with TJ O’Grady-Peyton will screen at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival running from April 19th-30th.

‘Wave’ is one of fifty-seven short films and is included in the Disconnected stream.

Also screening are Jim Sheridan’s Irish-Mexican co-production ‘11th hour’, which he directs and has co-written with Oskar Slingerland. ‘11th Hour’ screens as part of the New York – Group Therapy stream and is based on the real-life experience of Irish journalist Lise Hand during the 9/11 attack in New York.

Finally ‘Second to None’, directed and written by Vincent Gallagher, takes its place in the Animated Shorts stream. It was also announced by the Irish Academy this morning that Gallagher is also nominated for an IFTA at the upcoming Film & Drama Awards for Best Animated Short Film.
