09 Sep 2016 : Katie McNeice
The Offaly-based festival runs from October 12th-16th and is set to launch the official programme on Sunday October 18th.

Applications are currently being accepted for the festival’s 57 Hour Filmmaking Challenge, which will see teams of filmmakers shooting and editing their films in Birr, Co. Offaly.

Teams will have access to equipment, locations and a database of local actors and extras for their projects, which will be judged by a panel of judges on Sunday October 15th. The winning short film will be screened at OFFline as well as the 2017 Galway Film Fleadh.

The winners will also receive €3,500 post-production studio rental and equipment rental in addition to their slot in the Fleadh, with the team coming in second place earning a €1,000 equipment rental voucher.
