There are some fine examples of Victorian period houses and streets in this area which lies near to the railway station on the North East Side. This is where the more well-off Merchants built their houses before moving along to Montenotte next door. It therefore has a slightly forgotten feel about it, but being built on a hill, and with whole streets still intact, it offers many possibilities for the film maker.

Amongst these houses are the Marian Villie Terrace Houses. This is a good example of traditional Inner City Housing, with some structures dating back hundreds of years. Mixed in with this are fine red brick Victorian red brick workers cottages and modernised small houses set on a hill. Narrow Streets, steps and winds make this a visually interesting location for street scenes.
