This lies at the heart of the old part of the City and is the main arterial street for those going to the North Side. Although a bit more downmarket than its neighbour Patrick St, which is now the main shopping street, this still holds a great importance for the people of the Ork City. It has a vibrant inner city population, busy street life, colourful characters and interesting shops which Patrick St has lost in some ways with its ubiquitous High Street stores. Like the City itself it can seem a mass of contradictions; rough & ready with tool hire stores & hardcore traditional pubs rubbing shoulders with beautiful Churches, café bars and gay centres. It is both funky and visually interesting.
