This is a small City Centre green space sandwiched between large buildings on Cork’s showpiece street, Grand Parade. The large gate leads one to believe it will be bigger inside, but nevertheless what it lacks in size it makes up for in atmosphere. All sorts of people use it daily and find their own piece or amusement despite being so close to each other!
Interesting features are the remains of the old 13th Century City Wall, a stunning fountain depicting 8 swans and a statue commemorating the female onion sellers of the nearby Coal Quay market.
