This public viewing point and carpark is located at the junction of Kilakee Road and Cruagh Road in the eastern part of the Dublin Mountains, looking eastwards towards Dublin Bay and Dun Laoghaire. The carpark overlooks a foreground landscape of pastures, hedgerow and woodland, giving way to suburban and urban Dublin and on to the sea at Dublin Bay. Known landmark features are readily identifiable such as the new bridge at Dundrum in the foreground, the well known red and white towers of Pigeon House in Dublin Bay, the Bull Island, Howth Head, and the islands of Lambey and Ireland’s Eye. On a clear day, the Cooley Mountains and the Mountains of Mourne are visible to the north. Night time views are just as picturesque.
