Brian Durnin’s short film ‘An Teanga Runda’ (The Secret Language) has been selected to screen at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York (25 April – 7 May).
The Irish language short will screen at the prestigious festival which was created in 2002

by Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro to showcase independent features, documentaries and short films. Since 2002 the festival has grown substantially and is attended by over 300,000 people.
‘An Teanga Runda’ (The Secret Language) stars Kevin O’Dwyer (Blackwater Lightship), Alan Devine (Veronica Guerin) and Fiona O’Shaughnessy (Goldfish Memory). The spy fantasy follows Michael Hardy, Super Spy, and his young son James. The pair use Irish as a secret language to discuss their covert spy business and they must never let James’ mum know about their undercover missions.
The film is produced by Macdara Kelleher at Fastnet Films in association with the Irish Film Board and TG4.
