Adapted form the play by Brendan Behan, this film is a series of events which cause a firm believer of capital punishment to change his opinion. Crimmin is a new, young prison officer from Galway. He believes that capital punishment is fully justified, as society has to be protected from evil. However his mature co-worker who has been involved with the prison system for years is not convinced.
