Colganstown House is a distinguished if modest example of Palladian architecture c. 1760. This was the favoured style for the big house in Ireland during the first half of the 18th Century.

Colganstown House is attributed to Nathaniel Clements who designed Aras an Uachtarain. The House is situated within grounds and has a number of original stable buildings and outbuildings.
