Sidline's 'Revolting Ireland' Production
04 Sep 2017 :
Sideline is soon going into production of a new 4 hour series Revolting Ireland - the first ever TV series focusing on the social history of public and democratic protest. The TV3 series will air in early 2018 and has been supported by both the Broadcast Authority of Ireland and Section 481 (Film and Television tax credit).

Sideline are looking to hear from those who were closely and actively involved in occupations, marches, sit-ins, pickets and street protests locally or nationally, to ensure that they hear the real stories and get a balanced view of some of the most emotive and political issues and causes - that both united and divided Ireland.

The production company is seeking personal archive - film, video, art work, T-Shirts, video, posters and photographs - and the memories of protests - big or small. All costs will be covered for re-formatting, scanning and digital copying but it is important that broadcast rights are not restricted.

They are also keen to follow a campaign that culminates in a major open air event, especial between September and November this year. To offer viewers a look at the huge amount of work and planning that goes into organising a protest director Luke McManus and a small crew would like to film behind the scenes leading up to the protest and the day itself.

Sideline is one of Ireland's most successful and award winning media companies covering TV, Digital, Radio and Live Events. More at www.sideline.ie

In October Sideline will also finalise co-production partners, distributors and broadcasters for future series Revolting Britain, Revolting Asia, Revolting Africa and Revolting America at MIPCOM in Cannes.
