The Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) has announced its call for entries. The 25th annual Newport Beach Film Festival will take place October 17th - 24th, 2024, in Southern California.
The Newport Beach Film Festival is one of Southern California’s longest-running and most popular film events, annually showcasing over 100 feature and 200 short films, and attracting over 58,000 attendees.
NBFF is frequently home to Irish film. Last year, Double Blind had its US premiere at the festival, and Patricia O’Kelly’s Verdigris and Claire Dix’s Sunlight had their North American premieres. Other Irish films at NBFF 2023 included Declan Recks' Irish language feature Tarrac!, Alan Friel’s Woken, and short films such as Two for the Road and Mud Queen.
Previous iterations of the festival have screened Irish films such as A Date for Mad Mary, Cardboard Gangsters, and Michael Inside. Newport Beach Film Festival is an IFTA-qualifying festival.
Submissions can be made through NBFF’s Filmfreeway page. The regular deadline is June 28, 2024.
