23 Aug 2022 : News Desk
Virgin Media Television
From tomorrow, Virgin Media Television will broadcast a new free-to-air TV Channel, Virgin Media Four, to Irish audiences nationwide.

Available on Virgin Media channel 110 and Saorview channel 7, Virgin Media Four is a general entertainment channel offering a mixture of home produced and top international content, including weekly NFL American Football coverage and the first TV broadcast of The Group Chat: Season One, featuring Zara King, Gavan Reilly and Richard Chambers take on the stories making the headlines.

Tomorrow night, the first in a compelling three-part documentary series Two Sides will receive its Irish TV premiere at 9pm on Virgin Media Four. This behind-the scenes documentary gives an unprecedented look at the monumental British & Irish Lions rugby tour and explores what transpired in the Springbok and Lions camps during the 2021 Tour of South Africa.

“Virgin Media Four forms an integral part of Virgin Media Television’s new channel strategy,” said Virgin Media Television’s Director of Content, Bill Malone. “Virgin Media One is our flagship channel and home to VMTV's biggest brands from Ireland AM to Virgin Media News; Virgin Media Two is now clearly a youth focused channel, which has just enjoyed a ratings bonanza thanks to the strong performance of Love Island; Virgin Media Three has a particular focus on drama and now Virgin Media Four has joined our portfolio of channels as a General Entertainment channel with a mixture of home produced and top international content.”

"This is the second new television channel for Virgin Media Television this year, having launched the customer only channel, Virgin Media More, earlier this year, with Irish premieres of Virgin Media's top programmes such as The Ipcress File and The Thief His Wife And The Canoe”.

Virgin Media Four launches on Wednesday, August 23rd.
