‘The Frankenstein Chronicles’, a re-imagining of the Frankenstein myth as a six-part period crime drama, has just wrapped on its’ 14 week shoot in Northern Ireland.
Shooting commenced on January 26th on the series which is produced by Rainmark Films and made with funding from Northern Ireland Screen.
VFX on the period drama will take place at Screen Scene VFX (who also recently worked on ‘Game Of Thrones’ season five). Susan Scott was the Costume Designer on the show with Donal O Farrell as the stunt co-ordinator and Alan Walsh as the stunt performer.
Incorporating elements from the investigative and horror genres, the series will star Sean Bean as Inspector John Marlott who will be taken on a terrifying journey in pursuit of a chilling and diabolical foe. Other cast members include Anna Maxwell Martin, Charlie Creed Miles, Hugh O Conor, Lalor Roddy, Stuart Graham, Tom Ward and Vanessa Kirby.
‘The Frankenstein Chronicles’ is produced by David Tanner for Rainmark Films (‘Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight’ – as co-producer) and Carol Moorhead (‘Line of Duty’, ‘Wodehouse In Exile’ – as line producer). Executive Producers are Rainmark Films’ Tracey Scoffield (‘Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight’) and Frank Doelger (‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Rome’). The drama’s co-creator Benjamin Ross, whose credits also include ‘Poppy Shakespeare’ and ‘RKO28’, is directing the series.
The series is Executive Produced by Justin Thomson Glover and Steve Irwin for Far Moor and Endemol Worldwide Distribution will be responsible for international sales outside UK/Ireland.
