Post Production Coordinator – Mumha Media Ltd.

Mumha Media Ltd. was established in 2021 to provide world class post production management in the Republic of Ireland to both Irish and International Clients, and support and mentor the next generation of Post Production Coordinators and Supervisors. We are currently working with a slate of Irish, UK and International clients on live action projects, primarily HETV, Feature Films and TV drama for EU and UK broadcast.

About the role: 

This role offers a rare opportunity to become part of a small but dynamic and fast-growing company which values the input of every member of the team and works to promote everyone’s strengths. Mumha Media work with industry standard post production techniques and department structures, with a constant focus on the needs of the project and Client. You will have the opportunity to work with all the industry leading post production facilities and VFX vendors in Ireland, as well as making connections with facilities and vendors around the world.

The Post Production Coordinator will report to the Post Supervisor and will be their main point of contact and support in day to day project management and planning. They will be responsible for coordinating the projects administration and delegating to the Post Production Assistant where appropriate. They will have access to mentoring through the Post Supervisor / Producer along with industry approved training programs and a range of tried and tested project templates, tracking documents, processes, and workflows.

Key Responsibilities will include: 

  • Day to day administrative support to producers / post supervisor where required.
  • Coordinating handover from production to ensure all documents / files are complete and logged for final delivery.
  • Ensuring all departments know scheduled dates and communicating schedule changes / delays between departments.
  • Flagging review dates and deadlines for stakeholders and creatives.
  • Ensuring all departments are working to correct versions / cuts, updating production paperwork.
  • Scheduling meetings and spotting sessions, creating agendas and taking notes.
  • Media management / file organisation following naming conventions.
  • Tracking costs for ADR, VFX, travel, accommodation, stock footage etc. and entering PO’s.
  • Schedule ADR based on spotting sessions / cue sheets and manage variables including studio, Director and cast availability, transport and accommodation where required.
  • Stock footage searches and purchasing, based on briefs from Director / Producer / Editor and available budget.
  • Assist Post Supervisor with final credits, tracking changes and approvals and providing documents to vendors in various formats.
  • Deliveries – assist Post Supervisor with combined deliverables lists, tracking and managing deliverables, communicating key deadlines to various departments.
  • Paperwork Delivery – clearances, stock footage, Art Department logs, music cue sheet coordination, understanding and managing documentation from Production through to final delivery.

Key Requirements - Knowledge, skills and experience required: 

  • Passion for post production and desire to develop your knowledge
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a post production environment in either live action, animation or VFX.
  • Ideally experience with episodic post-production deliveries, or experience working in a post facility.
  • A basic understanding of post production processes and workflows, including editing, grading, sound, VFX and deliverables and a desire to learn more.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative skills and ability to multitask – very detail oriented!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to prioritise competing demands and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems or identify issues that need to be escalated to the Post Supervisor or Producer.
  • Ideally able to work from Dublin if/when required.
  • Full driving license and own car is preferable but not required.
