Post Production Supervisor – Mumha Media Ltd.

Mumha Media Ltd. was established in 2021 to provide world class post production management in the Republic of Ireland to both Irish and International Clients, and support and mentor the next generation of Post Production Coordinators and Supervisors. We are currently working with a slate of Irish, UK, and International clients on live action projects, primarily HETV, Feature Films, and TV drama for EU and UK broadcast.

About the role: 

This role offers a rare opportunity to become part of a small but dynamic and fast-growing company which values the input of every member of the team and works to promote everyone’s strengths. Mumha Media work with industry standard post production techniques and department structures, with a constant focus on the needs of the project and Client. You will have the opportunity to work closely with all the industry leading post production facilities and VFX vendors in Ireland, as well as making connections with facilities and vendors around the world.

The Post Production Supervisor will be reporting to the Post Producer and will be the main point of contact for Clients on their projects, managing day to day processes and the project as a whole. They will be responsible for up to 12 episodes of TV drama / 2 feature films at a time, which could include 2-3 projects running concurrently at a variety of production stages. They will have access to mentoring through the Post Producer along with industry approved training programs and a range of tried and tested project templates, tracking documents, processes, and workflows.

Key Responsibilities will include: 

  • Budgeting and Scheduling in conjunction with the Post Producer.
  • Supervising and mentoring Post Production Coordinators, and Assistants where required.
  • Communicate with all post departments, vendors and stakeholders regarding project and schedule updates, screening dates, and notes deadlines.
  • Workflow design and management in conjunction with the Post Producer, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for and correctly communicated to various vendors.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving – identifying and avoiding upcoming challenges wherever possible.
  • Attend post sessions and be main point of contact for the Director, Producer and Production.
  • Managing deliveries to multiple broadcasters and streamers, reviewing and understanding technical specifications and drawing up combined deliverables lists.
  • Project tracking in conjunction with Post Production Coordinator / Administrator / Assistant.
  • Vendor coordination and management – working closely with the Post Producer to identify potential vendors, request quotes, advise Production on best choice for the project. Main point of contact for post facilities and vendors throughout project life cycle.

Key Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience post supervising TV or Feature Film productions or managing a post facility.
  • Ideally experience in episodic post-production deliveries to a variety of broadcasters.
  • A strong technical understanding of post production processes and workflows, including editing, grading, sound, VFX and deliverables.
  • A proven track record delivering projects for air on time and on budget.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Experience budgeting and scheduling TV series / feature films.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-moving landscape.
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities to Coordinators and identify issues that need to be escalated to the Post Producer or Production.
  • Dublin based during post sessions (approx. 1-2 months of a 6-10 month project schedule).
  • Full drivers license and own car preferred but not necessary.
  • Passion for post production!
