Production Manager
SSVFX is an internationally acclaimed visual effects house based in Dublin, Ireland with offices in Los Angeles and London. SSVFX caters for big-budget feature film work, independent feature films and high-end TV series. SSVFX is continuing to develop its range of service offerings, building authentic and long-lasting connections with clients across the industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Management of resources across all project departments. Performs internal resource management, performance reviews, schedule updates, absence tracking, and negotiates/issues contracts for outsourced artists.
- Establishing departmental priorities and defining milestones for all project departments and maintaining overviews and departmental schedules.
- Ensure artists are assigned to appropriate projects/tasks with departmental heads/supervisors
- Assisting the project's senior/management staff in coordinating and communicating with the day-to-day production team.
- Improve the utilization of internal resources
- Work closely with Producer in monitoring overall schedule
- Manage and oversee production staff where needed.
- Organize and supervise project daily meetings, rounds, and rounds of discussion
- Execute the delivery of shots to the client
- Producing internal progress reports for the production team and management.
- Manage and communicate with clients in the absence of the Producer.
- Regularly update the studio-wide database with all relevant schedules, such as timesheets and producer tracking
Person Spec:
- Proven experience in the VFX, animation or film production industry, in a Production Manager Role
- Understanding of VFX and post-production techniques, terminology and pipeline
- Experience with tracking programs and databases (Shotgrid preferably)
- Experience with file transfer technologies such as Aspera, FTP and Signiant
- Passionate about Visual Effects in TV and film
- Organized, proactive and a self-starter
- Able to adapt and show initiative, works well with others and leads with enthusiasm and a clear vision.
